David Costa
David began his craft in 2015 on the coast of São Paulo, where he trained and developed a deep respect for discipline, structure, and technique.
Early in his career, he opened his first barbershop driven not by experience, but by ambition and an uncompromising desire to grow. These foundational years shaped his approach to men’s grooming.
In 2018, he moved to the United States and rebuilt his career from the ground up. He started cutting on the balcony of his home, then in a garage studio as his clientele expanded.
A small 100 sq ft office became the next step, followed by a larger private studio where he spent two years refining both his craft and the client experience.
Throughout this journey, David invested continuously in his evolution private trainings, mentorships, and advanced courses with respected educators across Brazil, Europe, and the United States.
More than formal education, it became a long-term commitment to technical refinement, modern aesthetics, and a global perspective on men’s style.
This path led to the creation of Vivant Barbershop in 2025 a space built with intention, shaped by years of growth, and defined by a philosophy that blends Brazilian craftsmanship with European technique.
Today, David dedicates his full energy to Vivant:
